Membership
Membership is open to any individual or corporation. Described
below are the different types of membership available:
General Membership
This type of membership is our
"grass roots" membership, allowing dog lovers of all
ages, throughout the entire country, to be a part of this great
undertaking. General membership will build our momentum and get
the word out about the sanctuary. This non-voting membership
entitles each member to a one-year subscription to our newsletter
and a window sticker.
General membership is usually
$50 per year, but right now we are kicking off our . . . .
"$20 Cause
for Paws" Building Campaign
which includes a one-year membership.
If 50% of dog lovers in the U.S. donated $20, we could build
a sanctuary in every state and abolish dog pounds and their practice
of euthanasia in the wag of a tail!
Please join now!
Their lives depend on dog lovers like you!
Voting Membership
A voting member must volunteer
a minimum of 100 hours to the sanctuary annually and is eligible
for election to the board of directors. These hours must be volunteered
on a regular basis throughout the year. Each applicant for membership
shall apply on a form as approved by the Board of Directors and
which shall provide that the applicant agrees to abide by the
Bylaws, the code of conduct and the rules of the sanctuary.
Annual dues for a voting member
are $50.00. To join, please fill out the attached form and send
it with your check for $50.00.
Affiliate Membership
A person eligible for affiliate
membership must pay dues but is only required to donate 50 hours
per year. Hours volunteered do not have to be on a regular basis,
but may be donated for special events throughout the year. An
affiliate member is not eligible to vote on any of the Rescue's
business nor can he/she be elected to office.
Annual dues for an affiliate
member are $30.00. To join, please fill out the attached
form and send it with your check for $30.00.
Junior Membership
A junior membership is available
to kids between the ages of 16-18. This membership requires each
member to donate 50 hours per year. Hours volunteered do not
have to be on a regular basis, but may be donated for special
events throughout the year. A parent's consent must be obtained
before membership is approved.
Junior membership is important!
By volunteering at a rescue, young people are introduced to the
rewards of rescuing dogs. They learn so much about dogs and how
to handle them, and it is often the springboard into a lifetime
of compassion and efforts to reduce animal suffering.
Junior membership is also a great
way for kids to satisfy volunteer and community service hours
for school, church and youth groups.
There are no annual dues for
Junior Memberships. |
